Toronto restaurant knowns for its Mediterranean food is permanently closing

A restaurant in Toronto known for its contemporary take on Mediterranean food is closing after five years in the city.

Bar Sybanne has been a go-to spot on Ossington for its sharing menu featuring Israeli, Lebanese and Moroccan cuisine. They've also hosted pop-ups in their back patio space like the beer and taco one last summer.

A few days ago the restaurant announced that this month would be their last and they'd be vacating the space after September.

While regulars are sad to see them go, the good news is that the owners say they have something new in the works.

The restaurant is currently listed for sale for $199,000.
