Dieu Du Ciel! takes over the taps at WVRST

Given that Ontario Craft Beer Week kicks off this Sunday, June 17, there is relatively little news that might make the coming days even more exciting for the city's beer fans; however, with the utterance of three little words, Keep6 Imports and WVRST have managed to make Toronto beer lovers' weekends even better. Those words, naturellement, are Dieu Du Ciel!.

On Saturday, Dieu Du Ciel!, the renowned St-Jerome/Montreal craft brewer (or brasserie artisanale, if you will) will take over all 16 taps at WVRST, bringing with them a ridiculous list of arguably some of the country's finest beers.

The draught selection will include 14 DDC brews as well as two collaboration draughts: an old time biere blanche (wheat beer) made with the help of De La Senne, one of the top new brewers from Belgium, and a Citrus American IPA created in conjunction with Hill Farmstead, a renowned farmhouse ale producer from Greensboro, Vermount.

As if that wasn't enough, WVRST will also be preparing 21 different types of sausage including--wait for it--the Danger Dog: an all-beef hot dog wrapped in bacon. Formidable!

So before you show our province's brewers the love they all deserve next week, why not kick off your weekend with live DJs, sausage, and what organizer Tomas Morana suggests is "probably one of the most epic beer lists Toronto has ever had." You may also find out why so many beer nerds go all starry-eyed when they speak of the beer from la belle province.

There's no admission and the event starts at 7pm, but you're going to want to show up early for this one. Trust me.
