Sting to perform at the NBA All-Star game in Toronto

Toronto is gearing up to host the NBA All-Star weekend and naturally, we're getting excited to see which celebrities will descend upon our fair city. Though, some were surprised this morning when the NBA announced Sting as the halftime performer for the February 14 game.

Along with the former Police frontman, Cirque du Soleil will entertain the crowd at the Air Canada Centre before the All-Star match.

Some are questioning whether or not the NBA got the message (in a bottle) that Toronto artists are currently heating up the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Even former mayor Rob Ford chimed in on Twitter to deride the game's lack of Can-con.

Who would you have liked to see perform at the NBA All-Star game in Toronto? Let us know in the comments.
