Rossi pledges "ten-minute grace period" for pay parking in Toronto
Mayoral candidate Rocco Rossi says he wants to introduce a ten-minute grace period for paid parking to eliminate the familiar 'gotcha' moment of returning to find a ticket on your dash mere minutes after your meter has expired.
Rossi joined council candidate Jennifer Wood on the Danforth today to make the announcement.
"Many parking tickets aren't about improving safety or reducing congestion, they're about creating revenue for the City" Rossi said. Torontonians would be able to appeal unfair tickets online and purchase overnight parking permits under Rossi's plan.
Rossi says his vision is in favour of "kinder, gentler enforcement." Should "unrealistic" be tossed in there somewhere too?
