Uncle Tetsu to expand its cheesecake empire in Toronto

To abate the hours long lineups on Bay Street, Uncle Tetsu is opening up a cheesecake factory under the nearby Toronto Coach Terminal. This, along with an online ordering system set to launch in September, will make it easier for Torontonians to satiate their sweet and cheesy cravings.

Earlier this month, Uncle Tetsu set up shop at the Front Street Foods market. After the outdoor eatery closes on August 30, Uncle Tetsu will get its very own stall inside Union Station and will start serving hungry commuters in October. Apparently, this location will be even smaller then its already pint-sized storefront at Bay and Dundas.

Along with Japanese-style cheesecake, Uncle Tetsu sells madeleines and recently opened a stand-alone matcha emporium, appropriately called Uncle Tetsu's Matcha Cafe, right next to its first Toronto store.

While the new factory will be closed to the public, Uncle Tetsu's array of offerings will hopefully help you get your treats faster.
