vidTO: Adam Giambrone on the Death Penalty

Sometimes very odd things land in the blogTO YouTube group.

Take, for example, this 5-minute rambling by Ward 18 City Councillor and TTC Chair Adam Giambrone... on the subject of capital punishment.

Presumably, this was recorded by or for the Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty (CCADP), who, incidentally, have quite the snazzy web page complete with photos of executed prisoners, and info on how to become a pen pal with someone on death row (abroad, since Canada doesn't execute criminals).

Sending cash, stamps, and old computer equipment makes sense to me, but how you can help the CCADP help prisoners by sending them your old Canadian Tire money is a bit of a mystery to me (unless the Canadian Tire money is used to purchase tools that are then put into the cakes delivered to the prisoners on their birthdays).

This CCADP page is administered by Dave Parkinson and Tracy Lamourie in Toronto, Canada, and a lot more can be found by joining the near 2000 members on their online forums.

I'm not sure if Giambrone is a member or not, but I do know that the video commentary would have been much easier to watch had it been in interview format or if he didn't string every one of his statements together with ands and buts.
