TTC Running New Surveys, Awarding Free Metropasses

Most people who watch as well as ride transit are going to remember Torontoist's recent TTC survey, widely regard as far superior to the TTC's rather brief official questionnaire. Hopefully, the TTC has paid some attention to the input they received through Torontoist, but as we all know, the TTC responds to rider input about as well as a driver snoozing on a bus.

Still, through some sort of magic that dreaming driver can sometimes have ideas occur to them that are vaguely similar to those on the minds and lips of the general ridership, and the TTC is back, rocking the charts with two new surveys.

You probably wouldn't mind using your phone underground and probably don't care about the TTC's flashy ad-info screens all that much, but apparently on the TTC's end the most important issue these days is whether you recall seeing a Pizza Pizza ad on a video screen or not, so that's where they're focussing their energy with this pair of surveys around cell phone usage and video screen efficacy.

Granted, not exactly the hottest topics to offer input on, but at least you can win a free metropass!
(In related news, fares are set to rise by 25% in order to compensate for the distribution of free metropasses.)

What really got me, actually, was when I was asked whether I'd noticed the ad-screen TTC status ticker, and honestly I can't recall having ever seen one... am I just blanking, or is this a new feature to go along with the new TTC status page?
