CanWest Cancels Dose Daily Paper

Canada.com reports that one year following the launch of the Toronto-based free daily, CanWest MediaWorks has decided to cancel the print version of Dose. In a memo to their staff, president and CEO Peter Viner explained that the print version was not meeting financial expectations, and would be halted. The online version is expected to continue to be published. While regular readers may be saddened by the news, I suspect that some TTC custodians are smiling ear-to-ear.
