Toronto artist creates Something out of nothing

The perfect gift for the person who has everything is no longer an Amazon gift card, according to one Toronto designer. Dori the Giant's engraved plastic blocks reading "Something" are now available online in a very limited edition. The Something block folds down to reveal "better than nothing," admittedly a questionable assertion.

The cheeky concept is hardly original, with The Giant herself crediting inspiration to two separate projects called Nothing, and Nothing. To put the adage about it being only the thought that counts to a true test, you can buy Something for $20 here. A tip: you might want to have a back up gift (pens? Fridge magnets? Gift card) in your pocket in case the gesture doesn't go over as well as you hoped.
