For the Social Butterfly: I'm Gaga for Kiron Khosla and Moira Hahn
Not very often, but once in awhile, I will come across an artwork that makes me go gaga. This week it happened twice, with work that is not dissimilar from each other.
First, I came across Kiron Khosla's work. I am not giving you a picture, YOU JUST HAVE TO GO and see it for yourself. I am going to try to attend the artist's lecture tonight, October 5, at 7:30 at Gibsone Jessop Gallery, Distillery District, Bldg.4 - 55 Mill Street. The opening reception for the Hubris is Terminal show is this Saturday, October 7, 2-6 and runs Mon-Sun 11-6, until the 19th.
What's not to like about kitty-cat samurai's in Edo period kimonos? Moira Hahn, whose work is shown above, references ukiyo-e prints for Flight Club: Solo Show with Moira Hahn, and opens tonight from 6-10 pm at the Magic Pony, 694 Queen St. W. Closes November 5.
