For the Social Butterfly: Late Night with Tracey Ullman and Allyson Mitchell

Photo: The Fluff Stands Alone (2004) by Allyson Mitchell

Allyson Mitchell, the Maximilist textile/installation artist who reclaims materials into campy-femme works of art, hosts a Swap 'till You Drop party, where anyone can bring in articles of clothing in for trade. Tonight at the Textile Museum, 7-10pm.

I have heard of these parties before and supposedly they are a lot of fun. I could also easily retire some items and greet some new ones into my wardrobe.

Tracey Ullman will also be at the Textile Museum at 9 pm signing her new book, Knit 2 Together, with co-author Mel Clark. Yes, I didn't see the connection with Tracey Ullman and knitting, but apparently there is one.
