This Toronto startup turns your home into a hair salon

A new Toronto startup wants to change the way you get your hair cut. Cutdle, which should not be confused with one of the many cuddling services that have popped up in Toronto, wants to do away with bricks and mortar salons and bring hair stylists into people's homes.

It's a simple concept, and one that leverages our contemporary reliance on web and app-based tools to offer a traditional service in a way that's promised as more convenient and cost effective.

In much the same way that a company like Uber seeks to connect passengers with drivers, Cutdle serves as a platform by which stylists and customers book appointments without the need for a dedicated salon space.

Hair cuts range from $15 (trim) to $50 (creative cut) with a range of prices in between scaled to the experience of the stylist. Colouring starts at $45 and goes up based on the nature of the work required. You book and pay for the haircut in advance via the website, so there's no surprises when the stylist arrives.

Will you give Cutdle a try? Let us know in the comments.
