Steamwhistle Shows off the Unsigned of Toronto

Steamwhistle makes a good beer. Even though by my 6th bottle I have a hard time telling the difference between any beer and a cup of melted margarine, I still pretend to prefer the taste over the big name brands.

Well, not only do they make awesome swill, but it seems the local brewery also has great taste in local music. Tomorrow, Steamwhistle is playing host to These Electric Lives, Modern Boys Modern Girls and Woodhands with Unsigned. The bands will be playing their sets inside the brewery, and will be playing "in no particular order", so get there when the doors open if you have a favorite from the litter.

The super cheap event's details and some awesome personal news lie after the jump.

100% of all ticket sales are going towards supporting the Regent Park School of Music, one of Toronto's bigger non-profit music schools that will be pumping out the Modern Boys and Girls of tomorrow. Tix are a paltry 5 dollah bills, so you haven't got an excuse to not go worth mentioning. Steamwhistle says this is the first in a series of concerts, so show the brewery how awesome these kinds of events really are by showing your support.

And I've finally returned to the land of the living after getting hitched in Montreal over the weekend. Sorry ladies and gents, but this "Ryan" is no longer a bachelor. I believe some of the other 34 "Ryan's" on BlogTO might be, however, so take your best shot.
