world poutine eating championships

Debaucherous poutine spectacle returns for year six

This past weekend, Yonge-Dundas Square was taken over by world-class eaters with one mission: to ravage through mountains of poutine. Smoke's Poutinerie served up heaps of Canada's favourite salty snack and competitors went to town while the crowd gorged on free poutine of their own.

The amateur heat was won by Dave Jefferson, while Matt Stonie - who ate over 22 pounds of poutine in 10 minutes - took home first prize for the main event.

Check out all the gluttony in this photo gallery.
