Rob Ford 911 Bitches

Twitter reaction to Rob Ford's 911 call

So what exactly did Rob Ford say to 911 dispatchers when he called in about a perceived threat in the form of comedian Mary Walsh? Most of us don't know for sure, but a report from the CBC this morning alleges that after getting impatient with the police response time, he launched into a profanity-laced tirade, the highlight of which was the following: "You ... bitches! Don't you f--king know? I'm Rob f--king Ford, the mayor of this city!"

The article in questions cites "several police sources," but lacks the type of confirmation that you'd get if you had the tape in hand. In something of counter-article, the Globe cites another unnamed source who claims that while the mayor was verbally abusive, he did not use profanity. What exactly constitutes profanity is not discussed in the article.

Needless to say, reaction to the story has been dominated Toronto Twitter feeds this morning, including our own. Here's a little snippet of the action, with more to come if the tape actually gets released!
