Your morning news roundup for Monday December 10th, 2007:

Commuters that use GO Transit trains are having their patience tested this morning. Trains coming in from all directions (from Bradford, Oshawa, and Hamilton) are cancelled and/or delayed due to "equipment problems".

Torontonians rallied at Yonge and Dundas Square this weekend, to send our prime minister a clear message - Canada's official stance on the environment and global warming is embarrassing and totally sucks. Rumour has it that Harper's brain function is clouded because his brain is soaked in crude oil (he drinks the stuff every morning like we drink coffee). Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty appears to be on our side.

Fire investigators believe that arson is not to blame for the huge blaze that destroyed a prominent and historic part of downtown Barrie.

Citizens of Brampton rallied yesterday, to demand fixes to their new hospital and accompanying health care woes. Officials say that no one has died as a result of long wait times, but the people fear that the waits and understaffing are a serious problem.

Canada's two largest stock exchanges want to merge, in a deal worth $1.3billion. The Toronto Stock Exchange and The Montreal Exchange still need approval from shareholders and regulators for the deal to go through.
