Regent Park Revitalization

Spacing Wire contributor Shawn Micallef pointed readers to a highly informative mini-documentary highlighting the revitalization of Regent Park. The video includes interviews with relocated community members and sheds some light on the impact the project is having on their lives and how the community is responding to the changes.

Be sure to check out the Spacing Wire for more Regent Park Focus Youth Media Arts Centre videos and commentary to be posted in the near future.

Also, on Thursday evening the National Film Board and the Toronto Public Space Committee co-present an evening of documentary screenings about planned public housing at the Toronto Free Gallery. Films featuring Regent Park in 1961 and 1994 are two of the four shorts being screened. A $3 donation is suggested.
