NewMindSpace: Lights Out for Night Lights

For anyone who went to Friday's NewMindSpace Night Lights event, you probably know the disappointment of Kevin & Lori in having their event sabotaged, when thieves made off with 300 LEDs!

Brutal. Gotta feel for those guys. Hopefully this doesn't have any permanent consequences for our daring duo of urban fun.

Read a letter from NewMindSpace about the incident after the jump.

---

Thank you for coming to Night Lights! The evening might not have lived up to your expectations, and it certainly did not live up to ours.

At the beginning of Night Lights, 300 LED's were stolen.

While we were busy installing String of Diamonds, two bags of 100 LED's were taken at once, and several individuals systematically collected all LED's they could before taking off.

We are shocked and disappointed, and consider this a low point in our history. We are very trusting people and we know that you are all very trustworthy. We believe strangers to Newmindspace events are probably responsible.

We lost over $500 last night

Additionally, the LED's were to be used as fundraising for future projects. As you can imagine, this has seriously set back our goals for our holiday events, some of which are now on hold.

Please consider making a donation

There is a "donate" button at http://www.newmindspace.com/nightlights.php . Thank you so much for everything :)

You are wonderful!

We love each and every one of you, and if we seemed upset last night, this is why. Without you, there would be no one. It's only up from here!
