Confusion Forces Toronto-Bound Plane to Land Early

Morning Brew: July 20, 2006

Your morning news roundup for Thursday, July 20, 2006:

If I've learned one thing from traveling to and from the US, it's that you should never utter the word "bomb," even in jest.

Howard Moscoe holds on as chair of the TTC. Let's hope this recent vote scares him into some more serious action for Toronto transit.

Stealing other people's stuff is bad enough, but stealing from senior citizens as they get off their plane at the airport? Now that's just despicable.

The city decides to replace and old 'stump' with some real trees. Well, trees and three new office buildings too.

We may have the longest street and the tallest tower, but Toronto no longer has the highest parking rates in Canada. That's one record I'm glad to get rid of.
