Artist is going head over heels for climate change in Toronto

The Bentway will serve as a canvas for Clarice Lima, as she presents an artistic demonstration that comments on climate justice.

The project, titled WOODS, employs the core strength of a large group of performers as they attempt to maintain a headstand. Their upside-down positioning is reminiscent of ancient ruins and forgotten forests.

Lima's artistic endeavor aims to comment on the struggles that nature endures every day, observed by the performers as they struggle to maintain an upright position.

Her performance hopes to make you think about the answer to questions like, how long can our forests survive and what happens when their time runs out?

WOODS is one of the first shows from The Bentway's summer opening weekend which includes free talks, tours, and workshops.

The performance is set to last 20 to 40 minutes and will take place at 1:30 and 3:30 on May 27th and 28th.
