Toronto getting its first ever podcast festival this fall

North America's largest documentary film festival is introducing another non-fiction extravaganza this fall. And instead of focusing on the big screen, this event will be all about podcasts.

That's right, from November 18 to 20, Hot Docs will be hosting Toronto's very first international podcast festival. And no, this won't just be a collective listening session. Instead, it'll feature live episodes of your favourite audio shows.

The full lineup won't be out until September 26, but we already know three shows that'll be making an appearance. These include Gimlet's Science Vs., Criminal and CBC's Sleepover with host Sook-Yin Lee.

"We are so excited to bring some of the best podcasts and podcasters in the world to Toronto this November and can't wait to reveal the incredible dream lineup we've put together," said programmer Will Di Novi in a news release today.

Hot Docs members will be able to grab passes on September 26, while everyone else will have to wait until September 29. Individual tickets will go on sale on October 4.

Which podcasts do you want to see live? Let us know in the comments.
