Can you say holy crap? Of course you can! It's FIFTY-THOUSAND DOLLARS! Partnerships are still being formed with various schools and art centers which will select their best of the best to compete for the monster prize. 5 photogs will be selected for the "finals", wherein they will have their work displayed in an AGO exhibition, with the winner of the obscene amount of dinero being chosen at the show's completion. The prize will be awarded in the spring of 2008.

I wonder if the decision to exclude all photographers learning and creating work outside of the educational system is cut and dried. Wouldn't it be nice for all the amateur photobloggers in Toronto to have a shot at this sweet heap of cash?
