Toronto skating rinks start to open for 2014 season

Skating rinks in Toronto have begun rolling out their projected opening dates for the 2014 season, now that the first snowfall of the year is upon us and the temperature is hovering steadily around 0 C. The Natrel Rink at the Harbourfront Centre had its first day of the season this past Saturday, and many more are set to roll out opening dates over the end of November and beginning of December.

A few popular picks: Nathan Phillips Square will be open for skating this Saturday, November 22, as will Dufferin Grove Park. Ramsden Park opens the following Saturday, November 29, along with Christie Pits and Trinity Bellwoods. To find out when your local rink will be ready, check out City Rinks Toronto's comprehensive database.
