Wine cellars, terraces, saunas, heated marble floors and trendiness! What 5000+ gets you for an apartment rental on Craigslist

Ah, the apartment rental market on Craigslist. Many a time have I surveyed your eye-numbing pages. But, it wasn't until today that I went big time. Through some serious mistyping in the minimum rent column, I happened upon a spread of apartments that cost more than 5000 bucks a month. Intrigued, I ended up clicking through most of what was on offer. After all, who wouldn't want to know what a $10,800 rental looks like?

In fact, the exercise wasn't even really that depressing - as is so often the case when I search in a bracket above my legitimate price range. No, these apartments and houses verge on the comedic. Of course some of them are directed toward big-wigs looking for short term luxury accommodation that isn't a hotel (I think Entourage's Vincent Chase character here), but who in his right mind goes in for so much on a long term monthly rental? Some of them, dare I say, aren't even that nice.

Oh, and there's a bunch of these typo-afflicted listings, too. For $65,000, I should certainly hope I get free wireless!
