Morning Brew: February 2nd, 2007

Your morning news roundup for Friday February 2nd, 2007:

ACTRA is still on strike
, and that means there are a lot of unemployed actors in Hollywood North. After their favorite hotspot burned down, actors had no where to spend their money anyways, though, one hopes that Aishwarya Rai decides to come back sometime regardless.

We had to live with an asbestos problem for months at my high school in Montreal, so when the news media gets on the school's collective asses to fix the problems, it can only mean two awesome things; the schools are more likely to get fixed, and we're going to see lots of RAZR pics of decaying math rooms.

Ontario's minimum wage has gone up, and yet protests about it have yet to go down. Meanwhile, some restaurants are still trying to scam pennies away from their employees. What say you?

A deadly pileup on the 401 left two dead and at least eleven injured. The sunny side in all of that is that a good Samaritan tried his best to prevent further carnage, and some are calling him a hero for it, whoever he may be.

Lastly for the brew, a photogallery is available of Pearson Airport and its new terminal for your perusing. Jerrold returns to stir the brew after today following a week spent gambling his life savings away and eloping with a fellow slots player named "Dolly McPhee" in Reno, Nevada.
