This weekend, investigators believe that they found the body of the female resident killed in the tragic gas explosion that leveled a home in the Mount Pleasant & St.Clair area.

Taxi cabs won't be required by law to have protective shields in place after the Licensing and Standards Committee effectively squashed a city councillor's latest push for action. I always feel like I'm getting into a tank when I take cabs in some other cities, and I'm glad we're not forced to go there in Toronto.

Police crash their cruisers - a lot. The Star offers some insight into how often it happens and why. You may be surprised by some of the reported incidents.

The Canadian embassy in Paris, France was evacuated after an employee opened an envelop that contained a piece of liquid-soaked tissue and reported feeling ill and having a nosebleed. False alarm.

The Ianiero case keeps evolving, and Mexican authorities are now considering the son of the slain couple to be a 'person of interest'. Another 'person of interest', the security guard that the son is pointing to as a suspect, has fled to the US and has not been found.
