One Lonely Racoon in the Annex

He's up there and no one seems to want to help him down.

Just west of Spadina Rd, on Bloor, this poor racoon has got himself stuck atop the tallest modern streetlamp he could find (perhaps the result of a smooth Indiana Jones hero's jump from a nearby roof) and has been there for hours now.

With firefighters, and the municipal forces that be, supposedly unable to do anything about it, concerned Annex citizens have put aside their bitterness over torn garbage bags and taken to the streets to help. At this hour they are out there piling up cardboard boxes, ratty blankets and other softer-than-the-pavement items around the streetlamp in case he decides to try and slide/jump down or simply falls off from fatigue.
