Fan Expo Toronto 2011

Photos of Fan Expo 2011

Fan Expo, the Comic-Con of north, has rolled through Toronto, bringing with it hordes of comic lovers, sci-fi fans and gamers — many of whom have come costumed-up in honour of their favourite superheroes and other characters. The annual event, which is expected to attract more than 65,000 visitors is a veritable feast for the senses, whether you self-identify as a nerd or not (who isn't a nerd in some capacity?).

On tap are autograph sessions, Q&As and celebrity photo ops, as well as live sketching duels, film screenings, video game demos and hard-to-find comic books sales. We'll have a more detailed report in the coming days, but for now here's a glimpse at the action at Metro Convention Centre, where the event will continue through Sunday, August 28th at 6 p.m.
