Playgrounds safe for playing


Well it seems that much-debated playground replacements in Toronto have actually made them safer. Although this debate came to an end when the decision to replace the equipment was made, some people seem to still be bitter about it. The evidence is in though.

Researchers at Sick Kids and York University have reached this conclusion after researching accidents at many area schools. I must admit that I didn't think the equipment would make such a difference. The report concentrates in equipment safety and not the arsenic issue, which is still a concern in other places.
