Introducing - "Hot Ticket"

Your blogTO music bloggers are very excited to introduce a new weekly column we're calling Hot Ticket. Each week, we'll share links and information for what we consider some of the MUST SEE concerts & music events for the coming week. Check the links out, go to the shows. Agree? Disagree? Let's hear about it!

blogTO Hot Tickets for the week of April 24th - April 30th:

Acoustic Soul Tuesdays at TraneStudio (964 Bathurst St.) has been what's really good for a minute now. This week features veteran soul singer (who won a Juno waaay back in '97) Carlos Morgan. Even though he goes by Carll Parkes these days, what hasn't changed is his silky smooth brand of soul. Tuesday April 25, $7, doors at 8pm. -- Ryan

Ninja Highschool the comic book is pretty cool, but Ninja High School the band is even cooler. Toronto's troupe of postive hardcore dance-rap beat wizards bring their sweet sweet magic to The Boat (158 Augusta, in Kensington Market) on Friday April 28th. $8, doors at 9 pm (get there promptly, this will be beyond packed). -- Beth

It's time for the UNDERDOG to shine! Put your drink down, dust yer shoulders off and get ready... it's a DANCE OFF FOR CASH! Sophisticated Boom Boom is hosting it's first dance-off with *ahem* 'CELEBRITY JUDGES'! There's gonna be a CASH PRIZE so make sure you show up and shake it! Friday April 28th at Rancho Relaxo (300 College Street). -- Mike R
