Czehoski Toronto

Czehoski shuttered after a decade on West Queen West

Czehoski on West Queen West has come to an abrupt end and is now sporting a "For Lease" sign and bailiff's notice terminating tenancy. Rumours that the restaurant was in trouble had been swirling for a while, but only yesterday did the notice get posted.

The restaurant opened a decade ago and was well known for its rotating selection of craft beers, cabbage rolls and schnitzel. In recent months it wasn't the pierogies making headlines, but rather ex-drug squad leader and restaurateur John Schertzer's legal troubles stemming from a 2013 police corruption trial, and alleged sexual assault in April of this year.
