Steve-O covers adoption fees for 12 animals at the Toronto Humane Society

Jackass alumni Steve-O has been a longtime animal lover and rights activist and he brought some of that goodwill to Toronto recently.

Last week, the 48-year-old stunt performer visited the Toronto Humane Society (THS), taking photos with fans and saving some animals at the same time.

According to the agency, Steve-O covered the adoption fees for 12 animals and also helped place 11 animals on hold for adoption.

In total, he spent around $1,800 in adoption fees, helping a ton of animals find their forever homes, while his special appearance helped raise over $1,500 for the society.

The comedian was in town for his Bucket List tour, performing at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

In his personal life, Steve-O has plans to start his own animal sanctuary alongside his four dogs, three cats and three rescue goats.

While at the THS, he also signed a t-shirt that the organization is raffling off (with other goodies) to help raise necessary funds.

Specifically, the THS is in desperate need of dog food, both wet and dry varieties, and is hoping drop-offs or donations will come in soon. They accept any brand of kibbles.

Way to go, Steve-O!
