1 Plus 1 Equals 3

Toronto is in a state of flux, arguably more so now than ever before. From Waterfront revitalization plans, to discussions of the Gardiner Expressway, to the ongoing development of some soon to be iconic pieces of architecture, it's becoming quite clear that the next few years will bring some significant changes to our urban landscape. With this in mind, I'm really looking forward to checking out the Urban Design or Civic Design exhibition this Thursday night, presented by 1 Plus 1 Equals 3.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure about the specifics of the exhibit (the site is rather cryptic about details) but what little they do mention is intriguing nonetheless:

This exhibition is a meeting point for potential collaborators on future initiatives. Through the sharing of experience between professional groups, individuals, artists and activitist groups -- We hope to envision an urban environment for vibrant public life and civic engagement.

Well I think I'm sold. Hopefully after Thursday night I'll have some interesting findings to report. Of course, you could always drop by and take a look for yourself.

Urban Design or Civic Design, presented by 1 Plus 1 Equals 3, opens this Thursday night, March 15th, 2007 at 7pm. Exhibition runs until April 1 at the Toronto Free Gallery (660 Queen St East).
