For the first time I was actually affected by the ongoing gas shortage. Last night I drove around west Toronto for 30mins, didn't find gas until my 7th station attempt, and when I got there, there was a 15minute queue. Burning gas to find gas was a eye-opening experience.

The CityTV news cruiser fleet is going all hybrid, and being the "tipsters" they are, CityTV have compiled a list of gas saving tips, but it's flawed. Using public transit was the last tip on the list, rather than the first.

The Toronto envoy sent to London to study the potential for implementing a road congestion tax here are saying that since we have wider streets and different road patterns we should consider other alternatives. These ideas were flowing at the Toronto Summit yesterday as well.

Ontario-trained doctors have lead feet. Young doctors continue to leave the province for better job prospects (and pay) elsewhere, and a recent report suggests that we should create a repatriation program to attract doctors back home.

A TTC bus driver is being hailed as a hero for coming to the aid of a woman that ended up in her flipped car in a frozen creek at the bottom of a ravine.
