Avant-Vardeville

Seems to me that the variety show is happily walking along side the wave of burlesque in Toronto.

My friend, musician and poet Tricia Postle, sent me a note to tell me about a show that she and a host of other performers are in show called Avant-Vardeville ( produced by Gravy Boy). Postle describes Avant-Vardeville as "sometimes funny, sometimes bittersweet, sometimes charming, sometimes just dumb and pointless, all pieces ten minutes long or less".

May not be Ed Sullivan but then again, that is not necessarily a bad thing. Show is on Monday November 7th 2005 at 8pm, PWYC. Playing at the Theatre Centre, 1087 Queen St. West (at Dovercourt).
