Okay, I admit it, I'm a bit of a home-body these days. But with the elections turning decidedly Blue can you blame me?
Still, one can't stay blue forever. So when burleseque goddess Tanya Cheex (of Skin Tight Outta Sight fame) sent me a note saying that she was going to be a guest at the SOPHISTICATED BOOM BOOM I knew that this might be just the thing to lift my spirits. SBB is "a dance party for underdogs", serving up Indie, Hip Hop, Rock and Roll, New Wave, Grime, Vintage Punk, Doo-wop, Kitsch and Electro-pop. And no stupid dresscodes either.
Sophisticated Boom Boom debuts on this Friday JAN 20th at Rancho Relaxo on 300 College Street at 10pm. Cover is $5.
