Massive rooftop pool and patio coming to King West

Rooftop pools seem to fit within the King West aesthetic. And if you're a fan of this Toronto neighbourhood, you should take note because it'll soon be home to one of the longest such pools in North America.

Located atop the new Freed building at 629 King St. W., Lavelle will include a massive pool and French food courtesy of the former La Societe executive chef Romain Avril. It'll also feature 16,000 square feet of patio space for you to get your groove on.

"The intention was to bring something new and exciting, not only to the city of Toronto, but specifically to the King West community, which prides itself on its vibrant culture and entertainment scene," says a blog post on Freed's site.

The pool and patio space officially launches tomorrow when Lavelle plays host to the fundraising event Celebrate Basketball in the Six.
