What kind of Rob Ford would Alec Baldwin make? He's certainly not the first actor one thinks of to portray our mayor, but there's lots of buzz that the former 30 Rock star is in talks to develop a television show in which he plays a Rob Ford-type mayor of New York City. The details are limited at this point, but it sounds like Baldwin is behind the concept for the show, which is based around a crack smoking mayor with a propensity for inappropriate outbursts.

You know the Rob Ford phenomenon is out of control when New York starts posing as Toronto (they'll probably film the show here and call it NYC). But perhaps Baldwin really is cut out to play a version of our mayor. He's had his own run-ins with the law, he's good for an outburst or two, and you know that he's comfortable being a bully. All I want to know is who gets to play the New York version of Doug Ford?
