Rob Ford rehab

Star reports that Rob Ford was disruptive in rehab

New reports suggest that Rob Ford was anything but a model citizen during his recent stint in rehab. According to the Toronto Star, who has reached out to sources it claims are familiar with Ford's time spent at the Greenstone Clinic. These include a former patient who received treatment at the same time as Ford and a staff member who unsurprisingly spoke on the condition of anonymity. The picture these sources paint is one that diverges significantly from the mayor's repentant rhetoric upon his return to the job.

A few of the choice quotations from the Star article include the following: "Ford broke things, got into fights with other residents," "Ford stopped people from sharing their stories, which is key to a successful rehab experience," "he was always saying he did not belong there."

The reports also indicate that the mayor was asked to leave his therapy group at around the halfway point of the program. Ford has spoken highly of Greenstone since his return, and referred to it as the best facility in the world. He's even gone so far as to claim it saved his life. As seems so typical with the mayor's claims, however, a counter narrative has arisen, one which, if true, is cause for concern as to Ford's prospects for avoiding relapse.
