Your morning news roundup for Thursday November 22nd, 2007:

Over 200 salters couldn't undo over a kazillion ice pellets that fell overnight, resulting in more than 100 car accidents. Now that the morning commute has started, the OPP are claiming that they logging one incident every minute. Wow.

A scamming cabbie has been robbing passengers that use their debit and credit cards to pay their fare. A fake card swiper logs your PIN, he keeps your card, gives you back a fake, and your bank account balance is curiously smaller by morning. Use cash.

A bunch of people were arrested in a major bust of crack and prostitution houses in Barrie. The investigation and raid were dubbed "Project Stone Cold" but didn't involve Steve Austin or anyone else flying off the top rope.

In order to diversify Toronto's street food (hot dogs are so... gross), does the city really need to buy special carts and lease them to vendors?

Forget about petty tax increases on bottled water, land transfers, automobiles, and beer - let's step things up a notch and just tax everything within city limits!

The estimate to give Union Station a much needed makeover is now a whopping $388million. Where will this kind of money come from? See above?
