The City Gets Some Collagen, Maybe Some Botox

This Friday, our city will get a new shine on the streets.
Well, kinda...

The third-annual 20-Minute Toronto Makeover will have Mayor David Miller putting his big broom to good use. People across the city and GTA will kneel down and get dirty by picking up bits of litter.

Equipped with brooms, dustpans, gloves and environmentally responsible 100 per cent biodegradable litter bags, the Mayors and sponsors will appeal to all residents and businesses to show they care by joining in the clean-up.

Will 20 minutes really make a difference? How long do you think it'd truly take each person to get the sidewalks spic and span? An hour? Maybe two?

A better question is, how long would it take us to mess it up again?
It's like that Simpsons episode where Lisa cleans the kitchen and with the swing of a door it's dirty again.
