Harrison Baths Awakening...

One of my favourite personal blog posts today came from my friend Paul's blog, EndScene.com. In the pursuit of his new year's resolution, he has been looking for a pool that is close by his work (Spadina & Richmond), so he can head off during a 1 hour break and get his laps in for the day.

After some research, he makes a shortlist and first stop = the Harrison Baths. Great hours (11am to 8pm) and free. What more could you need? What he didn't realize was that this historic public pool (around since 1916!) is also actually a humanitarian project in the city, allowing the homeless to come in and shower during specified times.

Turned out to be a humourous and very humbling 'human' experience for him. Read the post.
