Toronto Blue Jays fan set for life after winning $25M in record-breaking 50/50 jackpot

The Toronto Blue Jays 50/50 raffle just set an all-time record, and now one of their fans never has to work another day in their life.

The World Series Jackpot raked in over $50 million worth of 50/50 raffle ticket sales, smashing the previous baseball record. Fifty per cent of that total will go to the Jays Care Foundation, while the remaining amount goes to the winner.

Aric from Oshawa, Ont. is the lucky fan, winning over $25 million. That's more money than any Blue Jays player made this season, with the exception of Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

"Thank you, Blue Jays fans for raising a record-setting $25,010,057 this World Series," the Jays Care Foundation posted on social media. "We truly appreciate your incredible support all season long!"
