The Bike Joint Saves The Day

Tragedy truck struck my bike Sunday @ 6pm on my way to my beloved kickball game: a broken spoke at Harbord and Euclid! Curses! What to do!?!

I was only a few blocks from The Bike Joint, so I walked it over well expecting them to either be closed or closing. To my delight they were open!

Owner and mechanic Darek was a huge help, quickly getting to my bike. He was even willing to spend a half hour wresting with my 15 year old, fused and crap-encrusted freewheel.

When I asked him what I could do to upgrade my wheel, he gave me a thorough assessment and quoted some very reasonable prices. Then he topped it off by giving me his honest opinion that my bike was probably in good enough shape for its age, and it probably wasn't necessary to invest any money in it at this point.

A trustworthy mechanic is a wonderful thing. The Bike Joint is highly recommended for all your bike repair needs.
