Known for his passion for East Coast food, Chef Michael Smith is an acclaimed cookbook author, innkeeper, educator and professional chef who is also a member of the Order of Canada — and now you can rub shoulders with him at this unique dining experience.

Happening from Feb. 23 to 25, this can't-miss event promises a weekend of exploration and learning, plus the opportunity to cook, dine, and even chat with Chef Michael himself.

Kicking off the festivities on Friday evening with the Shuck 'n' Sip Welcome Party with Chef Michael, treat your tastebuds to a range of roaming hors d’oeuvres from his latest best-selling cookbook, Farmhouse Vegetables.

In true East Coast fashion, live music, oyster shucking, and beer and sparkling wine samplings will also be available throughout the night.

The fun continues into Saturday morning with a special book signing with Chef Michael. Bring your cookbooks or purchase his latest Farmhouse Vegetables release (available on-site), followed by a live Q&A Talk where you can pick Chef's brain and ask all your culinary questions.

You'll also be able to enjoy the best that Deerhurst Resort has to offer this season with their Winter Activities & Caesar Samples event, which includes the opportunity to participate in cross-country ski, ice skate, snowshoe, disc golf, and kick sled entertainment, and enjoy drinks from Matt & Steve's Caesars afterwards. 

This special weekend experience culminates with the Great Big Dinner Party, East Coast Kitchen Style — starting with a cocktail reception before an exclusive dinner with Chef Michael.
