Today in Toronto

Today in Toronto: Jazz Fest, Open Roof, Broken Pencil, Wine & Spirit Fest, Black Flag, Great Heart, Owen Kydd

Today in Toronto the 2014 Toronto Jazz Fest will get underway - brush up on this year's concerts with our preview here. The Open Roof Fest will start its season with Jake Gyllenhaal's Enemy, music by Thought Beneath Film, and a theme menu. Broken Pencil co-present Sex & Death: A Night of Readings, Performances and Music at the Tranzac, where Laugh Sabbath will be reading "Erotic Friend Fiction." The Great Heart Festival will kick off a chill, hopefully rain-free weekend-long session of free music in Trinity Bellwoods Park. VICE Island is also tonight, but if you didn't RSVP and don't have an NXNE pass in your grip you're out of luck. For more events, click on over to our events section.
