BOOKS & LIT | In Conversation: Chris Hadfield
Retired Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield will be in attendance at Indigo Bay Bloor tonight to sign copies of his first book, An Astronaut's Guide To Life On Earth. Writing a book is just one achievement on a list of many for Hadfield, who executed the first Canadian space walk, and was also commander of the International Space Station, and well as participating in several shuttle missions. His first book, which will be released today, gives readers insight into his time exploring space, as well as his tenure on the International Space Station. Heather Reisman will join Hadfield in conversation, with a book signing to follow. Indigo Bay Bloor (55 Bloor Street West) 7PM

FILM | "Stories We Tell" a film by Sarah Polley
A free screening of Toronto-based actress and director, Sarah Polley's film Stories We Tell, happens tonight at the Swansea Town Hall to celebrate Women's History Month. Polley has worked as an actress since her early years, and came to international renown through her roles in films such as The Sweet Hereafter, Exotica, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Go, and others. Stories We Tell was written by Polley, as well, and explores her parents' relationship, and her mother's extramarital affair, which resulted in Polley's birth. Tonight's screening is presented by the Swansea Town Hall and the Toronto Public Library/Swansea Memorial Branch. Swansea Town Hall, 2nd Floor (95 Lavinia Avenue) 7PM

MUSIC | Steve Aoki, Waka Flocka, Borgore, Dirtyphonics
Tonight, as part of the "Aokify America Tour", producer/DJ/musician Steve Aoki hits the Sound Academy for what will be a great show, even though it's at Sound Academy. The founder of Dim Mak records, home to artists such as MSTRKRFT, Fischerspooner, and Felix Cartal, is poised to drop his next album, Neon Future. Also on this bill tonight is well known rapper Wacka Flocka, whose next release is also the stuff of rumour, yet to drop. Word has it that it's called Flockaveli 2, and features guest appearances from Wyclef Jean and Timbaland, but we'll see... Dim Mak artists Borgore and Dirtyphonics round out the lineup.
Sound Academy (11 Polson Street) 7 pm, $60-$100
