It may not be the circus but the traveling market is in town with loads of Canadian-made goods up for offer. Opening at Hunt Club at College and Crawford this morning, the Mutts & Co. Traveling Market will have food, clothing, and crafts as well as installations by Canadian artisans from near and far. Each day of the market will feature special events or art pieces with Flying Monkeys Brewery sponsoring tonight's shopping night. The market is in town until Sunday so be sure to pop in to this twist on the growing trend of pop-up shops.

LITERATURE | The Toronto Review of Books Issue Three Launch Party
Bookworms and Internet nerds gather at Kensington's Poetry Jazz Café for the launch party of The Toronto Review of Books' third issue tonight. Toronto's most popular online quarterly about all things books and reading has a new issue chockfull of new books and the opinions real writers hold. The party starts at 8PM with readings and poetry recitations going late into the evening. You can leave your bookmark in your current read for this one night, can't you?

MUSIC | Polaris Music Prize Record Salon: Meet Some New Members
The newest jury members for the Polaris Music Prize will participate in a panel discussion this evening with Polaris founder Steve Jordan, sharing their experiences of working on some level in the music industry while dropping plenty of hints about what albums are on their radar this year. Ryan B. Patrick of CBC Radio, Natalie Zina Walschots of Exclaim, Phil Villeneuve of Fab Magazine and Rob Duffy from The Grid join the discussion with Jordan, coming armed with plenty of music samples to play for the salon crowd. Arrive early for the good seats and expect candid discussion about what rules and what sucks in Canadian music this year.

FILM | Young Women of Influence Evening Series Presents "Passion Into Action" featuring Michèle Maheux
TIFF Executive Director and COO Michèle Maheux offers up some words of advice in her lecture tonight for Young Women of Influence, an evening series designed for like-minded businesswomen to connect and advance their careers. Maheux, who has played a large role in the development of TIFF in her 25 years with the organization, will derive her message from the theme "Passion Into Action," explaining how she used a desire to show the world through the filmic eye to create one of Canada's leading non-profit brands and a cultural voice for coming generations.
