This four day event will consist of screenings by day, and the symposium will occur in the evening. This event is a collaboration with University of Toronto's Trans Film Screening Series of the Centre for Woman and Trans People. MUSIC | Star Talks: Jane Bunnett: An Evening of Music
Jane Bunnett, one of Canada's most celebrated jazz musicians, talks with reporter John Terauds tonight as part of an evening of music and conversation. Bunnett is well-known for some important associations she forged early in her career, most notably work with Dewey Redman and Don Pullen, as well as her studies with soprano saxophone legend Steve Lacy. She and her husband, Larry Cramer, have also enjoyed a long and fruitful collaborative relationship with some of Cuba's top musicians. Tonight there will be a performance by Bunnett, in the company of Jorge "Papiosco" Torres on congas and Jorge Betancourt on piano.
