The Blogerati Files: Naked KnitGirl

This week in the Blogerati Files, Naked KnitGirl

Describe your blog in 10 words or less.
Chicken wings and knitting around downtown Toronto.

Why did you start your blog? Blogiversary?
My bloggyversary is in November. I started the blog thinking it would help people that I've met in different places to keep up with what I've been up to. It turns out they never or almost never read it.

How long have you lived in Toronto?
Since March 2002.

What's the funniest/strangest thing that has happened to you in Toronto? Did you blog about it?
One of the strangest/funniest thing was when I was proposed to by a homeless guy.

What are some of the changes in Toronto that you have seen in your lifetime?
Proliferation of condos in the downtown area.

Can we believe everything you post on your blog?
Absolutely, everything is true.

Has blogging changed you or enhanced a personality trait?
I've always been outgoing, and it has enhanced that part of my personality.

Do you have a favourite post from your blog?
My favourite posts are the series that I wrote this past winter when I lost my handmade mitten and his mate (the other mitten) went all over town looking for him. I named the series "The Great Mitten Search". There are 8 posts about it and the direct links to each of them are on my sidebar.

Have you had your 15 minutes yet?
Why only 15 minutes?

Ever met a stranger who already knew you through your blog? How was that?
It actually happens quite frequently, and usually in the downtown area. The first time was in a coffee shop about a year ago. A few weekends ago someone recognized me at an event on Friday, someone recognized me at the St. Lawrence Market on Saturday and someone else recognized me at a bar on Sunday. It has also happened while on the streetcar or walking on Queen St.

Fav bloggers?
My favourite blogger is Clara from Clara's Victory Dance, but that's probably because she's also one of my very best friends. I also like Blamblog, Marmalade.ca, Accordion Guy and Photojunkie. But that may also be biased since they're all my friends.

What's happening in Toronto right now that the rest of us should be watching?
The World Cup, of course!

You have the opportunity to gather with 5 of your regular readers - who are they, where do you meet and what do you talk about?
We'll probably meet for chicken wings and some knitters-bloggers would come along too, though it can be a bit difficult to knit and eat chicken wings at the same time, it may be messy.

If your blog were a food, what food would it be?
Definitely chicken wings.

If you could gather all of the bloggers of the world together into one room and tell them one thing, what would it be?
Learn to spell!

Anything else you'd like to add...
I have another blog, Garlicster, all things garlic!
